Britain's kid Warrington originated a world title shot against Wales' IBF featherweight world champion Lee Selby with success over Dennis Ceylan.
Fighting in his home town of city, Warrington knocked down Denmark's Ceylan, 28, with a hand within the tenth spherical at the primary Direct Arena.
Ceylan beat the primary count however was knocked him down once more before the referee stopped the fight.
"I wish to induce the Cambrian over here," Warrington, 26, told BT Sport.
"If we will build it at Elland Road, let's have it. I've waited ciao and currently i am there.
"It was slightly bit erratic and wild as I wished to win it therefore unhealthy, however I got there within the finish."
Warrington created a late flurry of punches in every spherical to maneuver well ahead on the scorecards, before wrapping up success once Ceylan tired.
He is currently the necessary competition for Selby's IBF belt.
