Barcelona would like goalscoring alternatives to Suarez and Messi

Now that Sunday's game with Atletico Spanish capital has become a totally existent title clash, urban center have to be compelled to realize the simplest way to assist out Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez ahead of goal.

With forty three league strikes between them, it's no surprise that once the dynamic offensive couple area unit quiet, the Catalans drop points; as they need in 3 of their last 5 games. The problem comes once dropping all the way down to Barcelona's remaining prime scorers, as in third place there's Paulinho, a person World Health Organization has stunned several with a tally of eight in LaLiga.

Yet, the Brazilian's batteries seem to be absolutely drained and maybe the rationale why is that the reality he arrived midway through his campaign in China to start a contemporary one in Europe.

Paulinho's 12-game barren run is just ahead of Paco Alcacer's seven without a goal, a player yet to net in 2018 having actually been picked for the draws against Getafe and Espanyol.

While the former Valencia striker may claim that Ernesto Valverde has largely been ignoring him, the simple fact is that he has disappointed in front of the net for large parts of his stay in Catalonia.

The same can be said of Andre Gomes, who is increasingly far down in his boss' pecking order as things stand, and Ousmane Dembele.

Coming on when Barcelona needed a winner at Las Palmas in the week, Dembele looked out of sorts and saw almost all of his touches go astray.

He is the first of many players who need to pick themselves up if the Azulgrana are to guarantee success in a season where trophies have seemed hugely likely for almost all of it.

The fact is though, continuing to rely on Suarez and Messi is just too risky as the run-in approaches.
